​EXPERIENCING AHIMSA is a unique opportunity for immersive learning on a working organic farm and animal sanctuary near New Delhi, India. This program focuses on teaching Gandhian values and principles and how they are put in practice through sustainable farming, animal husbandry, and engagement with local communities.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
  • Classroom sessions. Discussions and experiences introduce the Gandhian principles that Beejom exemplifies.
  • Shramdan. We will participate in caring for the grounds each morning as a way to be part of the community during our stay.
  • Farm walk. A tour of the property will introduce us to the people, animals, and plant life that populate Beejom.
  • Animal interactions. The animals on Beejom farm are treated with compassion and respect, and all have a role according to their personalities, health, and needs.

  • We believe that this course is worth $500 CAD; however, you can pay what you can. Your fees support us to offer education and community programs to create a world of peace and nonviolence.
Your own additional costs
  • We estimate approximately $300 CAD for accommodation, meals, and local transportation
